Rep. Eli Crane, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of statements on March 27, 2026, criticizing both Democratic and Republican members of Congress and calling for procedural changes in the Senate.
In one post dated March 27, 2026, Crane alleged misconduct among lawmakers: “It’s so easy to defraud the federal government that Democrat Members of Congress are getting in on the action. Unreal.”
Later that day, Crane expressed support for former President Donald Trump’s stance on congressional effectiveness: “I agree with President Trump. Congress doesn’t have to be useless. There is another way. The Senate should terminate the filibuster and start delivering real wins for the American people.”
In a subsequent post on March 27, he criticized both major parties: “Democrats actively try to ruin our country. Republicans sit back and carefully manage the slow decline of our country. Something has to change.”
Crane, who was born in Tucson in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley, replaced Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd district after the 2022 election cycle.
