Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, recently used his social media platform to comment on the ongoing government shutdown and political developments in the Senate.

On October 6, 2025, Crane addressed the potential influence of two senators in ending the shutdown: “Senators Kelly and Gallego could provide two of the five votes needed to end the government shutdown. All they have to do is defy Chuck Schumer.”

Later that day, Crane posted a brief message: “” (October 6, 2025).

Shortly after, he added another statement: “Well done, sir.” (October 6, 2025).

Crane has served as a representative for Arizona’s 2nd District since defeating Tom O’Halleran in the 2022 election cycle. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane has become an active voice on national legislative issues.
