U.S. Representative Eli Crane, who serves Arizona’s 2nd district in Congress, posted a series of statements on his official social media account regarding the federal government shutdown and ongoing political disputes.

On October 1, 2025, Crane announced the shutdown and assured constituents that his offices would remain operational: “Today, the federal government officially entered a shutdown. My offices will continue to operate as usual for as long as the Schumer shutdown lasts. We will never stop working for the great people of #AZ02.”

Shortly after midnight on October 2, Crane posted a message containing only an emoji and a link: ” https://t.co/j6LNOU7ZTF”

Later that morning, he commented on actions taken under President Joe Biden’s administration: “We know this is true… Because this is what they did for four years under Joe Biden. https://t.co/TsSnNsPrRJ”

Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District since 2023, succeeding Tom O’Halleran. Born in Tucson in 1980, Crane currently resides in Oro Valley and continues to serve his district during periods of federal uncertainty.
