Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of tweets on January 6 and 7, 2026, addressing topics ranging from citizen journalism to political commentary.

On January 6, Crane praised the efforts of Nick Shirley, stating: “Nick Shirley is a fearless citizen journalist who stood up to a corrupt system and exposed waste, fraud, and abuse being perpetrated against the American people. (2/4)” The following day, he offered encouragement in another post: ” keep up the great work https://t.co/4u8MFyEmpR” On January 7, Crane commented on political developments with a critical remark: “This tweet has almost aged as poorly as Obamacare. https://t.co/lfLuc6oDMF”

Crane assumed office after replacing Tom O’Halleran in Congress in 2023 and has since represented Arizona’s 2nd District. Born in Tucson in 1980, he currently resides in Oro Valley.
