Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, recently used his social media platform to share updates on legislative efforts and local events.
On October 2, 2025, Crane posted support for a constitutional amendment affecting Congressional compensation during government shutdowns. He wrote, “Members of Congress should not be paid during government shutdowns. Proud to cosponsor @RepRalphNorman’s constitutional amendment to prohibit pay and back pay for lawmakers.”
Later the same day, Crane informed constituents about an upcoming public event: “A community meeting is scheduled for tonight at 6pm at High Desert Middle School in Globe. #AZ02” This message provided details for residents interested in participating in local discussions.
In a brief follow-up post that evening, Crane expressed gratitude with a simple message: “Thank you!”
Crane succeeded Tom O’Halleran as the representative of Arizona’s 2nd district after the 2022 election cycle. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane has been active in both legislative initiatives and community engagement since taking office.
