Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media this week addressing concerns about the San Carlos Irrigation Project and judicial accountability.
On September 4, 2025, Crane stated, “This week, I’ve urged the @doioig to launch an investigation into longstanding issues with the San Carlos Irrigation Project (SCIP). Arizonans deserve consistent access to power and transparent communication during outages. Grateful to @nicolesgrigg at @abc15 for covering.”
Later that day, he added his perspective on judicial conduct by posting, “I still think we should be impeaching activist judges.” He expanded on this viewpoint in another post on September 4: “Activist judges are so out of control that they don’t even respect the Supreme Court. Why again can’t we impeach them or do anything to hold them accountable?”
Crane’s call for an investigation into the San Carlos Irrigation Project follows ongoing public concern regarding service reliability and transparency in communications during power outages affecting local residents.
Eli Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District since 2023 after succeeding Tom O’Halleran. Born in Tucson in 1980, Crane currently resides in Oro Valley.
