Rep. Eli Crane, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of statements on December 3, 2025, addressing congressional stock trading and environmental concerns in Arizona.

On his official X account, Rep. Crane endorsed efforts to restrict financial activities by lawmakers, stating at 19:34 UTC: “I applaud @RepLuna for leading the charge to end congressional stock trading. Lawmakers should not have the ability to profit from their access to non-public information. Republicans and Democrats should join forces and get this across the finish line.”

Earlier that day at 18:44 UTC, Crane also posted an emphatic response using an emoji and link: ” https://t.co/pAiZGAQnTF”.

Later in the evening at 21:05 UTC, Crane turned attention to environmental issues impacting his state: “Abandoned uranium mines contaminate groundwater and pose serious health risks to Arizonans. To improve cleanup operations, I joined my colleagues in introducing the Legacy Mine Cleanup Act of 2025. With Senate passage last month, we’re one step closer to making it law.”

Eli Crane was born in Tucson in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley. He succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative of Arizona’s 2nd district beginning in 2023. In his recent posts, he highlighted bipartisan cooperation on legislative reforms and drew attention to public health risks posed by legacy uranium mining sites in Arizona.
