Rep. Eli Crane, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 2nd district, posted a series of tweets on April 7, 2026, expressing concern about fraud in federal programs and calling for action to protect their integrity.

In one tweet, Crane wrote: “No sane person can think this is okay.” (April 7, 2026). Shortly after, he continued his remarks by stating: “If we’re ever going to preserve the integrity of important programs like Medicare, we’ve got to end the rampant fraud. This is insane.” (April 7, 2026). He also posted an additional message featuring only an American flag emoji: “” (April 7, 2026).

Eli Crane has served as a U.S. Representative for Arizona’s 2nd District since replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley at age 43, Crane has focused his recent public communications on concerns regarding government program oversight and fraud prevention.
