Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, made several statements on his social media account on August 21, 2025, addressing political controversies and calling for accountability.
In a post at 16:05 UTC, Crane wrote, “This is a big deal.”
Later that day at 20:13 UTC, he shared another message featuring an emoji: “”
At 20:39 UTC, Crane posted a more detailed statement regarding recent political discourse: “Democrats and their allies in the corporate media have promoted massive lies over the past decade. None are more significant than the now-debunked Russia Collusion Hoax. Those who orchestrated this coup attempt must be held fully accountable. No one is above the law.”
Crane’s remarks refer to longstanding debates over allegations of Russian interference in U.S. elections and subsequent investigations into potential collusion with political campaigns. The so-called “Russia Collusion Hoax” has been a frequent subject of partisan dispute in American politics.
Eli Crane was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley. He succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd congressional district beginning in 2023.
