Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, announced several legislative and disaster relief updates through his official Twitter account on October 10 and 11, 2025.
On October 10, Rep. Crane introduced new legislation aimed at restoring a key region of the Grand Canyon. He wrote, “Today, I introduced the North Rim Restoration Act of 2025 to fast-track the rebuild of the Grand Canyon. Thank you to @RepAndyBiggsAZ, @RepGosar, @RepTiffany, @RepLaMalfa, @RepMaloyUtah, as well as the @CoconinoCounty Board of Supervisors for supporting this legislation. #AZ02”.
Later that day, Rep. Crane commented on ongoing debates surrounding healthcare costs under federal law. In a post directed at former President Barack Obama and referencing other lawmakers’ criticisms of existing policy, he stated: “It would be a shame if @BarackObama saw these clips of democrat senators trashing Obamacare. Can we officially declare that the ‘affordable’ care act makes care demonstrably more expensive?”
On October 11, Rep. Crane provided an update regarding economic assistance for those affected by severe flooding in Gila County: “UPDATE: @SBAgov has declared an economic disaster due to the severe flooding in Gila County. Through this declaration, SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program is available to eligible businesses, private nonprofits, and residents.”
Eli Crane began serving in Congress in 2023 after succeeding Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd district and currently resides in Oro Valley. Born in Tucson in 1980 and now age 43, he continues to address issues affecting his constituents both through legislative initiatives and public communication.
