Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, announced on October 9, 2025, that he will introduce new legislation aimed at restoring the Grand Canyon’s North Rim following recent wildfire damage.
In a post dated October 9, 2025, Crane stated, “Tomorrow, I’m introducing the North Rim Restoration Act of 2025. This legislation will eliminate bureaucratic hurdles and expedite the rebuild of the Grand Canyon. While the Dragon Bravo Fire dealt a setback for #AZ02, we won’t let this tragedy define our future.” The proposed act is intended to address recovery efforts after the Dragon Bravo Fire affected parts of his district.
Later that day, Crane commented on healthcare policy by criticizing Democratic lawmakers and previous reforms: “Democrats passed Obamacare. Healthcare costs have skyrocketed. The healthcare industrial complex got rich along the way. Democrats don’t respect the American people enough to be honest about it.”
Crane also posted a brief reaction to an unspecified issue with “Not good.” on October 9.
Eli Crane has served as U.S. Representative for Arizona’s 2nd District since replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980, Crane currently resides in Oro Valley.
