Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district, posted a series of statements on social media on April 16, 2026, addressing issues ranging from immigration policy to public trust in Congress and constituent services.
In a tweet posted at 01:23 UTC, Crane commented on the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program, stating: “The T in TPS stands for TEMPORARY. Am I missing something?”
Later that day at 14:47 UTC, he questioned public sentiment toward the legislative body by asking: “…are there any remaining questions about why nobody likes or trusts Congress?”
Crane also used his platform to inform constituents about upcoming opportunities for assistance with federal casework. At 17:28 UTC, he announced: “On Monday, my staff will host mobile office hours in Kearny and Hayden. If you’re in the area and need assistance with federal casework, please contact my team to schedule an appointment. See below for more information:”
Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District since 2023 after succeeding Tom O’Halleran. He was born in Tucson in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley.
