Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of statements on September 2, 2025, addressing national security concerns and recent judicial decisions.

In his first post, Crane commented on the aftermath of an assassination attempt against former President Trump: “It’s been just over a year since the failed assassination attempt on President Trump’s life. Today, we’ve learned more about the structural failures at the Secret Service. The @DHSOIG just released a report detailing alarming vulnerabilities. This must be addressed immediately.” (September 2, 2025). The referenced report from the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General highlighted deficiencies in Secret Service operations.

Later that day, Crane questioned judicial accountability by sharing: “‘We conclude the district court abused its discretion in issuing the injunction.’ How much abuse is enough to merit any kind of accountability?” (September 2, 2025).

Crane also shared positive news relevant to his constituency: “Great news for rural Arizonans that rely on tips.” (September 2, 2025).

Eli Crane was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley. He succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd congressional district after being elected in 2023.
