Rep. Eli Crane, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of statements on social media on January 8, 2026, addressing topics including government spending, law enforcement, and radical Islam.

In a post made at 14:06 UTC, Crane wrote: “Stealing YOUR money.”

Later that day at 15:25 UTC, he commented on political discourse surrounding law enforcement and border security: “Today would be a good day for democrats to stop demonizing law enforcement.

It’s the least they could do, given that their premeditated border crisis created this mess.”

At 15:44 UTC, Crane addressed concerns about radical Islam in Western societies: “Radical Islam is not compatible with the West.

The failure to understand this – whether in Europe, Australia, or here in America – comes with a tragic price.

Wisen up. Take these threats seriously. The future of civilization depends on it.”

Crane was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley. He succeeded Tom O’Halleran as the representative for Arizona’s 2nd congressional district after winning the seat in 2023.
