Rep. Eli Crane, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, shared updates on community and legislative matters through a series of posts on March 30, 2026.
In his first post, Crane addressed the ongoing Senate recess and called for action on Department of Homeland Security funding. He stated, “The Senate should end its recess and fully fund DHS.” (March 30, 2026).
Later that day, Crane highlighted local economic activity in his district by sharing news about his staff’s involvement with a new business opening. He wrote, “On Friday, my staff joined the Tonto Basin Chamber of Commerce in welcoming Better Beauty Salon & Boutique to the community. It’s always great to see so many supporters turn out for new businesses in the area. #AZ02” (March 30, 2026).
Crane also marked progress on infrastructure projects within his district. He posted, “Great to be in Gila County this morning for the TRSD Wastewater Treatment Plant groundbreaking. This has been a strong partnership between federal, state, and local officials. Proud to fight for #AZ02.” (March 30, 2026).
Crane was born in Tucson in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley. He succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative of Arizona’s 2nd district after the 2022 election.
