Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing national issues and congressional conduct.

On September 8, 2025, Crane commented on the ongoing public discourse regarding Daniel Penny by posting: “Spot on. Daniel Penny is still a hero.”

Later that day, he addressed concerns about financial ethics within Congress, stating: “Members of Congress should be fighting to balance the budget, not fighting to pad their pockets with inside information.” This comment highlights ongoing debates over insider trading and financial transparency among elected officials.

In another post from September 8, Crane criticized socialist policies with the statement: “Socialism is not a good thing. Not at all.”

Eli Crane has served as the representative for Arizona’s 2nd district since replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane’s recent comments reflect his views on fiscal responsibility and political ideology as a member of Congress.
