Rep. Eli Crane, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 2nd district, recently posted a series of messages on social media addressing challenges within government and taxpayer expectations.

On February 1, 2026, Crane wrote, “It’s called the swamp for a reason. Those of us pushing for change are greatly outnumbered.” The following day, he posted another message containing only an emoji and a link: “”. In a subsequent post on February 2, 2026, Crane stated, “Taxpayers are generally shocked to find out this sort of thing wasn’t already happening.”

Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District in Congress since replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980, Crane is currently 43 years old and resides in Oro Valley.
