Arizona House Representative Selina Bliss announced that she met with regional transportation leaders to discuss key infrastructure priorities for Yavapai County and surrounding communities.

“Great to meet LD1 transportation leaders today at the Capitol to talk about priority projects in Yavapai County,” said Selina Sieh Bliss, State Representative from Arizona. “Joining me today on the House Floor were representatives from Yavapai County, Clarkdale, Camp Verde, and Sedona.”

According to Bliss, she met with representatives from the Northern Arizona Council of Governments (NACOG) at the Arizona Capitol. NACOG supports local governments through planning, coordination, and regional development programs.

Yavapai County manages over 1,600 miles of roadway and bridges across its rural and municipal areas. Its transportation projects focus on maintenance, safety, and improving connectivity between Clarkdale, Camp Verde, Sedona, and Prescott.

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) invests heavily in Northern Arizona’s transportation network. The department funds safety improvements and road expansions to support regional economic growth and tourism access.

Bliss is a nurse, educator, and Arizona House representative serving Legislative District 1. She focuses on issues affecting Northern Arizona, including infrastructure development, rural healthcare, and veterans’ advocacy. Bliss was first elected in 2022.
