On March 17, 2026, Nguyen announced plans to introduce five members of the new Virginia Class Fast Attack Submarine at the Arizona House of Representatives. In his post he stated, “A quick update before bedtime… Tomorrow, Tuesday 17, I will have the honor of introducing five members of the new Virginia Class Fast Attack Submarine, USS Arizona SSN-803, at the Arizona House of Representatives, 1:00 pm MST. Later that same day, Nguyen provided an update following the event. He wrote on social media: “This afternoon, I had the honor of introducing five crew members of the USS Arizona, SSN-803, and the USS Arizona Legacy Foundation at the Arizona House of Representatives. On March 18, Nguyen highlighted that members of the state legislature recognized those serving aboard submarines named after states and shared a personal note about Lieutenant Sarah Nguyen.
