Quang Nguyen, a Republican member of the Arizona State House representing the 1st House District since 2021, posted several updates on his social media account in early April 2026. His posts addressed legislative actions and personal reflections.

On April 5, 2026, Nguyen shared a message related to Easter: “Easter is a reminder that even in our darkest moments, renewal is possible. Happy Resurrection Day.”

Three days later, on April 8, he announced the signing of legislation expanding reporting requirements for certain individuals applying for name changes in Arizona. He wrote: “HB2223 SIGNED: Expands reporting requirements for any person who has been convicted of a crime in Arizona or is required to register as a sex offender in any state, when submitting an application to change their name.”

Later that day, Nguyen commented on gun rights and freedoms within the state. He stated: “2A freedom index . How free is Arizona. Not good enough in my opinion. We will do better.”

Nguyen began serving in the Arizona State House after being elected in 2021 and succeeded Steve Pierce as representative for District 1.
