Quang Nguyen, a Republican elected to the Arizona State House in 2021 representing the state’s 1st House District, posted several updates on his social media account regarding military recognition and historical events.
On April 9, 2026, Nguyen shared his experience introducing members of the Air National Guard: “Today, I had the honor of introducing the 161st Refueling Wing on the House floor and announcing the Airman of The Year Awards to three members. Thank you for your service.”
The following day, he commemorated a significant naval tragedy in U.S. history: “Today in history: On April 10, 1963, at just before 8 a.m., the USS Thresher SSN-593, was conducting drills off the coast of Cape Cod. At 9:13 a.m., the USS Skylark, another ship participating in the drills, received a communication from the Thresher that the sub was experiencing” (April 10, 2026).
Later that same day, Nguyen posted an additional message containing only a link: “https://t.co/JhVLyB7M1a” (April 10, 2026).
Nguyen succeeded Steve Pierce as representative for Arizona’s 1st House District when he was elected in 2021.
