On August 21, 2025, Nguyen posted a photograph reflecting on a past family gathering: “TBT – A rare time having all of us together. 2022 graduation at the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey.”
Later that day, he announced an upcoming public hearing related to prison safety in Arizona: “Next Tuesday, the Joint Study Committee on Correctional Practices and Facility Safety will hold a hearing on recent inmate deaths in Arizona’s prisons. We’ll be asking tough questions about custody-level overrides and staff safety.
