Quang Nguyen, a Republican elected to the Arizona State House in 2021 to represent the state’s 1st House District, has recently posted several statements on his social media account addressing state politics, education, and personal history.
On March 14, 2026, Nguyen commented on the qualifications of an unnamed state legislator: “This I know for sure, she’s far from being competitive as a state legislator.”
The following day, March 15, 2026, Nguyen addressed concerns about educational outcomes in schools. He wrote: “I don’t care what you do with your money. If the kids can’t read, write, do math… YOU FAILED IN DOING YOUR JOB!”
On March 16, 2026, Nguyen shared a personal reflection involving his father’s military service: “An old damaged photo of my Dad dated 1955. He was a veteran of the French war and after defeating the French, he began his journey in fighting the communists and ho chi minh. After 39 years of war, he retired in 1973 as a Lieutenant Colonel. Nice to see him in a video clip.”
Nguyen succeeded Steve Pierce when he assumed office for Arizona’s 1st House District. His public posts often focus on education policy and reflections on family history.
