Rep. Eli Crane, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, announced on January 22, 2026, that the North Rim Restoration Act of 2025 had advanced in Congress with bipartisan support.
In a post made at 18:50 UTC, Crane stated: “Today, the North Rim Restoration Act of 2025 cleared a major hurdle in the lengthy legislative process. With a unanimous, bipartisan vote of approval, we are one step closer toward eliminating obstructive red tape and accelerating recovery efforts:” (January 22, 2026).
Later that day at 19:05 UTC, Crane expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their involvement in the legislation: “Thank you, @RepGosar, for highlighting the importance of the North Rim Restoration Act of 2025. Also appreciate Chairman @RepWesterman for his leadership, as well as @RepAndyBiggsAZ, @RepCiscomani, @RepAbeHamadeh, @RepMaloyUtah, and @RepTiffany for cosponsoring. “ (January 22, 2026).
Crane also addressed political tensions on social media earlier that evening at 18:58 UTC. He wrote: “By leaving out key context, Democrats are intentionally stoking unrest and endangering federal agents. Rather than making an honest case for their policies, they rely on half‑truths and outright lies. Thankfully, the American people see through their shameless gaslighting.” (January 22, 2026).
Eli Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District since replacing Tom O’Halleran in Congress in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley at age forty-three, he continues to play an active role in legislative matters affecting his district.
