Main Street in Old Town Cottonwood will be closed to traffic on Saturday, November 8, for the Walkin’ on Main 2025 event. The closure will stretch from Pima Street to Yavapai Street and is scheduled to begin at 4:00 a.m., with plans to reopen by 7:00 p.m. the same day. Curbside parking along Main Street will not be permitted during this period.

Drivers are advised to use a detour via Cactus Street. Parking on the west side of Cactus Street will be allowed in order to accommodate two-way traffic, and reduced speed limits will be posted throughout the area. Parking restrictions will also apply up Verde Heights Drive and along both curbs.

The Old Town Jail parking lot will remain open for general use during the event. For those attending Walkin’ on Main, Cottonwood Area Transit is offering a free shuttle service between 10:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Attendees can park at Riverfront Park or at the Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District (Willard Street stop) for pickup.

“We thank you for your understanding and cooperation,” organizers said in a statement. “For additional event information, please visit azwom.com. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Nick Hull, Special Events & Community Programs, at 928-639-3200 ext. 3210 or nhull@cottonwoodaz.gov.”
