Asphalt paving work is scheduled to begin on a section of Main Street in Cottonwood, Arizona. The project will take place from November 6 to November 23, covering the stretch between the 10th Street roundabout and Mingus Avenue.

According to the city, preparation for the paving will start on Thursday, November 6 during daytime hours. All actual paving activities are planned for nighttime hours throughout the project period. However, traffic control measures will remain in place during the day. Businesses along Main Street will be accessible during daytime hours.

During construction, southbound travel on Main Street will be closed at night and drivers will be directed to use a detour along 10th Street. During the day, one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open. Traffic cones and other control devices will be present at all times.

The city notes that there may be temporary restrictions to businesses and side streets during nighttime work. Road conditions may be rough while work is underway, and detours for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists are expected. Flagging operations and construction equipment in the roadway could cause loud noise and travel delays.
