There were 82 white students enrolled in Canon Elementary District schools in the 2024-25 school year, 10.9% less than the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Canon Elementary District welcomed 116 students during the 2024-25 school year. Among them, white students comprised 70.7% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the district.

Canon Elementary District roughly covers schools within Yavapai County and has a main office in Black Canyon City.

Canon School was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming 82 in the 2024-25 school year.

Arizona’s K-12 enrollment is shifting amid a declining school-aged population, projected to drop by 40,000 by 2028, according to the Common Sense Institute.
