Dr. Selina Bliss, a Republican member of the Arizona State House representing the 1st House District since 2023, has recently used her social media platform to highlight her legislative efforts and express concerns about recent developments at the state Capitol.
On March 12, 2026, Bliss addressed ongoing debates around prostitution laws in Arizona, stating: “I am trying to stop prostitution and protect those who are trafficked in Arizona with HB2720. It is a sad day at the Capitol to see so many Democrats voting to push for the opposite and promote prostitution https://t.co/V33hrRi2W6”.
The following day, on March 13, she discussed another legislative initiative focused on criminal law regarding unborn children: “It is my honor to work with the county attorneys to sponsor HB2043 (felony murder; unborn child). A shout out to the Pinal County Attorney Brad Miller @PCAOAZ for taking the lead and bringing the importance of this bill to our attention. This loophole in the law needs to be https://t.co/ummIv20uRG”.
Later that same morning, Bliss reiterated her support for Second Amendment rights by posting: “We practice what we preach – protecting our 2A Freedoms! https://t.co/gSSeeUtEbi”.
Bliss was elected in 2023 after succeeding Judy Burges as representative of Arizona’s 1st House District. She has since sponsored or supported legislation addressing issues such as human trafficking, criminal law concerning unborn children, and gun rights.
