Cottonwood announces Veterans Day closures for city offices and services

City of Cottonwood offices and several departments will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in observance of Veterans Day.

According to the city, the Cottonwood Public Library and the Cottonwood Municipal Court will both be closed on November 11. The library is scheduled to reopen at 9 a.m. on November 12, while the municipal court will resume operations at 8 a.m. the same day.

The Cottonwood Recreation Center will remain open on Veterans Day but with an adjusted schedule. The fitness center will operate from 4:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the indoor pool will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The outdoor pool is closed for the season, and all group exercise classes are canceled for the day.

Cottonwood Area Transit (CAT) bus service will not run on November 11, though Verde Shuttle will maintain its regular schedule. CAT administrative offices will also be closed that day and are set to reopen at 8 a.m. on November 12.

Public safety services in Cottonwood will continue normal operations during the holiday, and emergency utility personnel will remain available on-call after business hours, as well as on weekends and holidays. Residents needing emergency utility assistance can contact (928) 634-0186.

The city expressed gratitude to veterans for their service, stating: “The City of Cottonwood thanks all veterans for their service to our country. We ask everyone to be safe this holiday weekend and thank a veteran for their service.”
