Azusa Pacific Cougars were edged out 56-54 in a close NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament matchup.

Opening matchup scheduled for Friday, March 13 at Nicholson Arena.

The team has secured the No. 7 seed going into the tournament.

The matchup was held at Bearcat Baseball Field.

Rachel Roderick, a former standout from Sedona Red Rock Junior/Senior High School, contributed to the Azusa Pacific Cougars’ victory over the Biola Eagles on Saturday, Feb. 28.

Maban Jabriel, a standout from Tri-City College Prep High School, played for the Queens Royals in their loss to the Central Arkansas Bears on Saturday, February 28.
