The City of Sedona's monthly newsletter for March 2024 showcases various updates and events that residents should take note of.

In recent City Council meetings, decisions were made regarding important initiatives. The contract with the Verde Valley Homeless Coalition to manage the Safe Place to Park Program was approved, as stated by the City Council. Additionally, the Council deferred consideration on a zone change proposal for a new hotel and housing project to address concerns and conduct more outreach.

Furthermore, the City Council adopted the 10-year Community Plan, providing a roadmap for future developments until 2034. A decision was also made to reschedule discussions about the Sedona Chamber of Commerce contract for operating the Visitor Center.

During a work session with the Tourism Program, the City Council provided guidance on destination brand development and approved a media plan for the upcoming summer stewardship campaign, as mentioned by the Council.

Residents were informed about the "Sedona Citizens Connect" mobile application, allowing them to report non-emergency issues effectively.

Looking ahead, residents can participate in various upcoming events such as the Curbside Yard Waste Pickup, Sedona Trailhead Shuttles, and the Limited Household Electronics Collection.

501(c) organizations are encouraged to apply for funding through the Small Grants Program, with applications due by April 25. Additionally, nominations for the Mayor's Arts Awards and enrollment for the Community Police Academy are open for interested individuals.
